I spent the whole of April on ward 22. This was the first time in all of my 53 years that I had been admitted to hospital. Frankly, I didn't what to expect and the added threat of Covid 19, didn't help my apprehension. What I found was quite simply incredible.
Firstly, the nursing staff. I am struggling to find the words to describe their superb levels of care, friendliness, commitment to the cause, flexibility, hard work and attention detail. They were always willing to go the extra mile.
Secondly, senior staff and consultants. I work in a corporate environment and trying to encompass all staff. However, I was amazed at how 'joined up' the service was. The consultants were completely up to date with my symptoms and medication, allowing them to devise a treatment and care plan going forward. Everything was explained to me simply, and they listened to what I had to say.
I couldn't let my experience of your hospital go unrecognised, and assure you that I very very rarely issue praise.
The NHS sentiment is embedded in what I experienced at King's Mill.
Thank you.
"Fantastic staff"
