"Fantastic practice "

I feel compelled to leave a review after reading so many negative comments. I have been with this surgery since 2012 and have nothing but brilliant service from the doctors, nurses and receptionists. They are under so much pressure with the amount of patients they have on their books but are unable to close their books to new patients wishing to register. I am not a person who likes to visit doctors or hospitals unless I’m on deaths door. On the rare occasions that I have had an emergency, Merchiston have been absolutely brilliant and acted swiftly on all occasions. They remind me about my yearly blood tests etc and ensure I attend these. My husband was diagnosed very quickly with cancer 4 years ago and I’m certain that this was down to the fast action of the doctor at Merchiston and the fabulous GWH. I totally appreciate that some people haven’t had the best service but please remember everyone at the surgery are only human and are doing their best, especially under the current circumstances with COVID .
