I came home after being in the critical care unit with flu a in one lung and the corona virus in the other lung, I was very weak as I'd been ill for 3 weeks at home then 3/4 weeks in hospital. I wasn't strong enough to stand in the over the bath shower and after 3weeks of trying for help and being told I wasn't an urgent case my daughter heard about stars and contacted them.
An OT Katey came to assess my situation. After a pleasant but thorough assessment was over Katey left and returned 15mins later with a bath board and later that day a leaning chair to enable me to shave etc at the sink arrived which made such a difference to, not just my physical health but also my mental health. Katey kept in regular touch to make sure I had what I needed to make life easier and gave advice to help me on my way to recovery. Everything was done in a friendly professional way, and we will be forever grateful to Stars and Katey.
