"Brilliant Mental Health service"

About: DMC Chadwick Road

The Mental Health nurse is extremely helpful. She is my lifeline out of my troubles and confusions.

Sometimes I ask for a telephone appointment.

I'm listened to respectfully and patiently. There is no jumping to conclusions on her part.

I have had issues with tidying up for instance; big issues. I was given practical help such as a recommendation to get someone in to help me. She pointed me to the internet for local help.

I find the fact that I can email the Mental Health nurse extremely valuable. For example, if I get up during the night because I can't sleep the option is there to offload my situation without disturbing anyone.

I can also email my achievements to the Mental Health nurse. I did something very simple like a child would do. The MH nurse encouraged me with it which is where I was at.

Sometimes I get confused in my thinking. She is willing to help me out of my confusion. I am dealt with firmly if necessary also.

I also find it helpful when the MH nurse gives me a gap before the next visit. This gives me the confidence that I can get on by myself for a while. It tells me she trusts me to look after myself. That encourages me in my inner being.

The MH nurse gives me back confidence in myself. I have made massive progress since seeing her. I feel safe having this service.

I don't know what I would do without her. My living room is now ordered and part of my bedroom also. This has been because of gradual help from the MH nurse. She is calm and listens well.

I also feel comfortable at the practice and have always been treated well.

I think because she trusts me it has given me the confidence to trust others; my sister for example. Now my sister and I have a MUCH better relationship. We don't shout at each other anymore.

It gives me strength just knowing the MH nurse is there and I can access her services if I need them. I don't know what I would do without her being there. She is my lifeline. She gives me the courage to go on.
