"Abrupt nurse "

About: St Peter's Street Medical Practice

I visited the practice for my annual smear test, which as many women know is quite a daunting experience! Firstly the nurse arrived late and then spent a further 10 minutes talking to her colleague which meant my appointment was 20mins late! When I was eventually called, the nurse didn’t seem ready, nothing was set up and was very abrupt. Given the delicate nature of the smear test I was expect the nurse to put the patient at ease and explain what’s going happen. This nurse just pointed to the bed and then shouted at me to adjust it as it wasn’t at her eye level! This is my second ever smear test, )the last one was three years ago ) so the nurse shouldn’t really assume patients remember what’s going on. Overall a bad experience which will make me think twice about getting another test done!
