"Very friendly and reassuring"

About: Bristol Eye Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I had a corneal ulcer on my right eye, and was given some pretty intense treatment . I was very well treated by all the staff . A  few weeks later I had a similar feeling in my left eye and was very worried. On walking into the hospital it was quite overwhelming with all the members of staff on the door wearing masks and wielding hand sanitiser but I felt quite safe once the initial shock was over. I was examined by Dr Harrison who was amazing, I was thoroughly examined and I had an eyelash that was embedded in my eye and was covered in mucus. Dr Reece was able to remove it and checked the pressure and also checked the right eye to check that the ulcer had cleared up. A very friendly and reassuring man. And to top it all off, the takeaway cafe was open. Fantastic! Very impressed.
