I started feeling unwell whilst fishing. I had chest pain and arm /jaw pain so went to Dr Greys in Elgin. They diagnosed heart attack and I was transferred to ARI within an hour. I was further diagnosed and treated for symptoms and then the next day I was given 2 stents in my right artery. However this is more about the excellent treatment I had from everyone involved during my 3 days under care.
From reception at A& E through initial treatment and on to ambulance then journey to ARI, I was looked after and treated really well. Once at ARI this excellent treatment did not reduce. Everyone I came into contact with from the Tea lady to the surgeons was equally supportive and helpful. This is amazing at what must be one of the most stressful times for the NHS ever. I would like my gratitude to be passed on to everyone involved but know this is difficult so I hope that by sharing my story here it will be passed around.
