"Excellent Care Home"

When I had to find a care home for my husband near to our home in Wigston three people recommended Amberwood Care Home for its quality of care. Amberwood certainly lives up to its reputation. My husband has lived in the home for more than 2 years, and is content to stay there. Although he is wheelchair bound and cannot speak, he is treated with respect and as an individual. His personal and medical needs are met fully. The staff are caring and patient. The home is light, airy, clean, sweet smelling and well maintained. There is a small, attractive garden with seating for residents and visitors to use. The food is good. There are activities each morning and afternoon, apart from Sunday, which residents are encouraged to join in, and they have a say in what activities take place. Friends and relatives of the residents are welcomed and are kept well informed. If I became unable to care for myself I would hope to find a home in Amberwood.
