My 2nd appointment with the Pelvic Floor department was a telephone consultation after which I was told to expect another appointment. Instead today, I received a discharge letter with no details and no signature.
'The pelvic floor department has conducted a clinical review of patients that are currently under their care. Your patient's case has been virtually reviewed and a decision has been made to discharge their care back to their GP. If you wish to re-refer please do mot hesitate to do so I'm the normal manner.'
My nurse did not indicate a discharge was due , or provide information for long term progress , as my conditions have not yet changed. Is this Best Practice at Guy's and St Thomas' ?
"Randomly discharged."
