"Bad experience with CMHRS"

About: Surrey And Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

I was reffered by A and E and I feel that they had no intention of helping me. My wife had to chase the appointment that’s how serious they took me. I did not like the way the Dr was more interested in asking about others in my house. I did not like the way the Dr hardly spoke to me and addressed my wife. When the Dr asked a question about a period of my life when I was no known to mental health services they responded to me with a sarcastic comment. I did not like the way that I feel completely humiliated by them. I don’t like the way that I can not move on. I don’t like the way I was treated and I am sure it is because of my age and gender. I don’t like the way I have paid tax most of my life and when I need the NHS the most it has no intention of helping me. My GP keeps telling me that I need to be reffered back because I keep hearing voices but I can not go back so I have no support and I don’t know what to do.

Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry to hear that you do not feel you've been supported or responded to appropriately. What we would recommend is that you contact our PALS team who can look into this for you - all their details are on our website at www.sabp.nhs.uk/pals

We also have a mental health crisis helpline which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you can reach that on 0800 915 4644. Do please call them if you are in a crisis as they can really help.

Thank you and take care
