I last left a review on here on the 13th of March 2020, following my heart attack. I reported on the fantastic service I had received from Emergency Services and both Cardiology departments of Heartlands and Good Hope NHS hospitals, and that they had literally saved my life. —— well, I feel I now have to write the following.
Although the Coronavirus resulted in my follow up appointments ie Echo cardiograms, visits for Post attack advice etc being postponed, their excellent service continued as they contacted me via telephone calls from the Cardio department, giving advise, guidance and generally ensuring my position continued to progress positively. Anyone recovering from a heart attack will be well advised to follow all their post attack advice. Whilst I did find their exercise advice difficult to start, my perseverance paid off as I have received correspondence stating my recent Cardiogram shows an almost normally operating heart !! — great news for me, a “far cry”from being in that ambulance with blue lights flashing only 14 weeks ago, and a credit to all those treating and taking such good care of me.
Although I will be monitored in the future, all the NHS Staff that dealt with me and in particular both Cardio departments, are totally responsible for me being able to continue a near normal life going forward. We are truly fortunate to have the NHS and many thanks to you all for continuing to see me through this worrying and stressful period of my life.
