After being initially assigned to the Blue Team by midwife Holly back in November I was delighted that the team could accommodate all of my appointments around my work as I was so nervous about telling work I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I was so disappointed to hear that following lockdown the midwives were back to previous routines and covering different departments as and when required. I needed have been worried though, despite being pulled away from the blue team, Holly was always there to provide reassurance via text message as and when required and when I finally went into labour on the 23rd May I was so lucky to know Holly was on shift that evening. I again couldn’t be more thankful to midwife Rhona who was there during my labour and delivery of our baby boy, from the moment I entered the labour suite she guided my so well with my breathing and provided continued reassurance with absolutely no rush placed on my husband to leave us after birth.
I am eternally grateful to the whole team and in particular Holly and Rhona. I can only hope that the named teams is something that will return in time for future mothers. This was my first experience of it with my 3rd baby and I wish it was something I had with my first 2 also.
Thank you again!
