My nana was rushed into hospital on the 25th of may with severe confusion and being unable to speak, for a start the I felt the paramedics that came were horrible, no consideration for us who was in great distress because of how our nana was.
She was on ward 37 for 10 days and was diagnosed with Parkinsons however we rang up every single day to see how she was because we were extremely worried and we got told little to no information. The only thing they said was that she could hold a conversation and she was absolutely fine. Now I'm not being funny but I would like to see what they think ill is because in my opinion there is absolutely no way she could hold a conversation. They discharged her 2 days ago and they sent her home with a severe temperature, incontinent with her bowels, unable to move or speak. She actually came home worse than when she got taken in.
She was rushed back into hospital yesterday and is now on the acute medical ward and we can't thank them enough. The staff member who spoke to us told us more information in 10 minutes than in the 10 days that she was in ward 37, even said it's disgusting how she was discharged in the state my nana was in. Now bearing in mind she is 79 years old with severe Parkinsons unable to move and even stand up she can hardly hold anything and on her discharge notes they said she trashed her room how ridiculous is that. I'm no doctor and I respect what they do but that is absolute rubbish, in my opinion there is no way she would be able to do that. Also in my opinion and in other doctors opinions, she was originally sent home way too early. It felt like they couldn't be bothered.
My nana is so important to me and my family we are so close and to think doctors of all people treated her like that breaks my heart.
