I had a general anesthesia yesterday for an elbow fracture, I wasn't the most easy patient as I suffer with anxiety & never been put to sleep or had surgery in my life, I expressed my concerns with the theatre team & they were very reassuring. They gave me a sedative to calm me down in theatre then the anethestic was amistered through a mask & I only managed 3 breaths & that was all I remembered until I woke back in the recovery ward & the 2 nurses who got me ready for theatre I requested that they were both there when I woke up & they kept there promise & were there when I come round from my anethestic, & looked after me until I was discharged a few hours later. The surgeons anesthestia & nurses did very well in there job & know how to keep an anxious patient very calm. Thank you
"Great service"
