I rang the surgery with COVID-19 like symptoms in May 2020. I did not have to wait and was speaking to reception within seconds of making my call. The reception staff proactively assisted me and booked me in with the GP the same day, for a telephone consultation. I was having breathing difficulties, loss of smell, loss of appetite, vomiting and a consistent cough. The GP rang me and listened to my concerns and symptoms. Based on this, he prescribed a course of antibiotics, suggested I get tested for covid-19, booked me in for an x-ray of my chest. I tested positive for covid-19. As a result of my GP's proactive approach and suggestion, I was able to self isolate myself and not spread this to family members, friends, the local community and colleagues. I was also referred to a specialist by my GP. My symptoms have improved however, I do still have a cough. My GP has been following up on my condition every 2-3 days with a phone call. I have also been receiving text alerts from the GP practice on how to self-isolate and tips on best practices. I must say that I am highly impressed with the both the admin/reception team and the clinical team. Highly professional and friendly. I therefore recommend this surgery to anyone who is looking for a excellent and proactive GP surgery.
