Went into the RAH maternity unit first week in May for an elective section and can’t praise the staff enough. From those on the ward prior to section to the very reassuring surgeon (Mr Thompson I think) and then to the postnatal ward... the care was exceptional. Particular mention to one of the student midwives on the postnatal ward.. Rosa I think... who was fantastic. Reassuring, caring and nothing was a bother. A credit to the profession and thank you!!!
I ended up back in ward 31B due to feeding problems a few days later. This time looked after by midwife Emily. Again I can’t say thank you enough for all your care and reassurance. I was upset about being back in hospital and could have felt cut off in side room. But Emily checked in every couple of hours to see how the feeding was going throughout night and offered to help in anyway she could. Even popped in to say goodbye in morning before her shift was over. You honestly made my night back in so much more bearable.
You would never have known about the situation going on with COVID and staff were truly fantastic!!
Thank you to you all!!!
