"The care, compassion and professionalism were second to none"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

We recently had to take our 1 year old to ED as he fell and burst his cheek. The fear and panic I was overwhelming knowing I was taking him into a Covid hot bed. From walking in the front door, the care, compassion and professionalism were second to none. Particularly Nicola. I cant thank them enough for how well they looked after not only my little boy but my husband. They made a traumatic experience for all more relaxed. I will truly always be thankful to our NHS heroes and the ED department at Wishaw deserve praise for what they do day in and day out.

Dear Wishaw Heroes,

I'm sorry to hear about your son's accident; it sounds like he was well looked after by Nicola and the team though.

As a parent myself I know what an anxious and stressful time it can be if your child is injured or unwell, so I'm pleased to hear we managed to reassure and support your husband as well.

It's really important for staff to be recognised for the great work they do, so the team and especially Nicola will be delighted to receive your thanks and praise.

I hope your son is getting back to his normal self.

Kind regards

Rick
