"Do not be afraid to ask for help"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as a service user),

I am 26years old. My sister comitted suicide a bit more than a year ago. I thought that my life is over. Didn't know who I was anymore. Only few people in my life suggested to ask for help, everyone else kept saying''you will go through this, just need more time.'' I am so glad I listened and made that call. Ian  who works at Inclusion Thurrock service helped me to go through this. My best decision was to get a phone and call for a help ( it was very scary but 100% worth it).

Dear Girlgirl,

I’m so sorry to hear about your sister and am sorry that your sister, you and those around you have had to go through such difficult times. Loss is such a difficult thing, especially when a loved one takes their life. Grief does take time and we all experience it differently, but I’m glad that you were able to reach out for that extra support. You’re right, therapy can be scary; we ask you to make that initial call and share how you’re truly feeling and that can be so hard. But you were courageous and I’m pleased to hear that you felt you could get through your grief with the help of Ian and our service.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

All the best,

Chloe Anderson.
