"Child’s operations"

About: Accident & Emergency / Children's A&E Crosshouse Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

My son broke his elbow and required an operation to have wires placed in it. As a mother hearing your child requires an operation at any given time can be very distressing to hear. Never mind during these very unprecedented times. However I was soon put at ease as was more importantly my six year old son from the surgeons and his team the amazing nurses in ward 1a to the fabulous domestic staff. I must mention Alana and I think her name is Lorna whom first attended to my son in A and E

They were absolutely amazing with him and really put him at ease. I cannot thank all involved in my sons treatment enough. Our wonderful nhs staff are working under extremely difficult circumstances at the moment but their kindness compassion and professionalism shines through.
