"I was a patient in my own hospital where i work"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Intensive care unit Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Neurology

(as a staff member),

Im a staff nurse at FVRH. After developing a migraine with arm pain mid shift a porter was asked to take me to a&e. That is the last I remember on the Thursday. I woke up on Saturday in ITU. I had seizurez and had to be vented due to low sat02.

At home now after discovering an aneurysm on my brain. Every staff member are amazing. I was in 3 wards in total and everyone treated me respectfully, kindly, safely. Some staff I knew but others were strangers. Now waiting fir the neurosurgery team to review my scans and decide a plan of action. What an amazing team we r at firth Valley royal hospital. Thank you for looking after one of your own. ❤️❤️❤️🍰🍰

Dear Staff on the receiving end

It must have been a shock for you to wake up in ICU, especially in the hospital in which you work. I am glad that you found the staff friendly and treated you with kindness and respect and that you are home now recovering.

Regards
