I attended A and E this morning on crutches and unable to walk. I was told that I should be at the walk in centre. A porter took me to there in a chair. I was seen by two nurse practitioners who said that I did not flag up any red lights. They meant that they could not detect signs of a deep vein thrombosis. I said that I was worried about a stress fracture but was toldd that you cannot fracture the tibia in that way. I am a menopausal woman with a history of osteoporosis which I told the staff about. I was hoping for an x-ray but was sent home with some codeine phosphate. I left the walk in centre very upset. I am at home now sitting in agony and unable to walk. I have no idea what to do now. In my opinion my visit was a waste of time. I really do realise that we are in the middle of a global pandemic and that it is not politically correct to say anything negative about the NHS at the moment. However, I felt very let down by the NHS today and so I am saying so. I am really worried not just for myself but for other people too. I am worried that many more people are going to die or become permanently disabled due to conditions othef than Covid 19 because they are being neglected by the NHS on the Government's instructions.
"Very disappointing"
