"Fantastic care at Maidstone Hospital "

my elderly mother was taken to Maidstone Hospital as an emergency by ambulance due to heart / kidney problems. She said that all the staff were wonderful and so kind and caring. she went from A&E to John Day Ward then Culpepper Ward. The staff in Culpepper took the trouble to get her a birthday cake when they realised it was her birthday and sang happy birthday to her despite being so busy and the hindrance of wearing their masks. she was very touched by this. she is very hard of hearing and they were very patient with her writing things down and nothing was too much trouble. She had another belated happy birthday sung to her again the next day as she went down to surgery to have her pacemaker fitted! Everyone including the cleaners (who cleaned so thoroughly) , porters, those who brought her food to her always had a smile behind their masks. Thank you so much for making what was a traumatic time for my mother less harrowing by your professionalism and kindness in such difficult circumstances for you all. my mum is recovering very well now and could not fault her care at Maidstone Hospital!
