"2nd pregnancy care"

About: Lorn & Islands Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Going through pregnancy in the middle of a global pandemic was nothing short of a worry in every aspect. The one thing that I didn’t have to worry about however was the level of care I received from all at Lorn and Islands Maternity unit with special mention to my named midwife Rosie. She was always on the end of the phone when I needed reassurance or guidance throughout my pregnancy. When I was anxious and overwhelmed with the prospect of giving birth in Paisley due to Coronavirus, she did her best to support me and give me the reassurance I needed. The level of care has been fantastic and I am very grateful of how special this pregnancy and the aftercare has been due to the Oban midwives.

Dear KG261192

Congratulations on the birth of your baby!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience of midwifery care in Oban.

Lovely to hear how well supported the Oban midwives made you feel and that you felt the level of care was fantastic!

Rosie will be so pleased to know that she helped to reassure you during this worrying time.

I will pass on your positive comments to the Oban Midwifery team who will be delighted.

With very best wishes to you and your family.

Kindest regards

Fiona Campbell
