"Felt really really badly treated"

About: Cavell Hospital

When I was referred here to have a right hip replacement I was quite scared and worried bout having it done as first operation ever had I had pre OP assessment and on day of op I was left on my own did not know what time my surgery was the anaesthetist was quite rude and when I went down to the anaesthetic room my heart rate went up and my op could not go ahead any way I ended up going to another hospital to get treatment after that I came back to the cavell a few months later for another pre assessment after alot of chasing and phone calls to get another appointment I had a phone call saying come to the hospital as they could do my op on the Thursday and I did not need pre assessment and when got there I waited a hour in reception the lady at desk know I arrived she said after a hour that she did not know I was there and was very rude then ihad to have a blood test a ecg by this time my heart rate went up again the nurses were really really rude I had to see a cardiologist as my heart rate was racing and they said there was something wrong with my heart and there wasnt as the cardiologist said it was anxiety I ended up having to wait from June til December for the hospital to make up its mind whether they was going do the op or not and after 100s of phone calls from my self and gps they said no so in the end I had it done at a great hospital with much better staff and surgeon and the whole experience was so much better I have not wrote review til now as been though so much and just recovering from my sugery from oct
