"Heart attack and cardiac arrest"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

After developing chest pains on a day out with my wife, I attended A&E at 12:45 on 2nd Oct. The triage nurse found my ECG to be abnormal and took me through to a Doctor. He examined me and confirmed there was a problem, then went to make a phone call. I then suffered a heart attack followed by cardiac arrest. My wife called the doctor back and he immediately commenced CPR until a defibrillator was in place. My heart was successfully re-started and I was sent to William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, for an emergency operation to have 2 stents inserted. After 2 nights in CCU, I have now returned home and have been told that damage to the heart muscle is likely to be minimal, due to the prompt actions of the Doctor. Although I cannot remember his name, we will never forget his actions and skills. Words cannot express my gratitude, but I would very much appreciate you passing on our entire family's sincere thanks to this Doctor and all of the staff involved. Thank you.
