In March 2020 I had a phone consultation with Dr Heydtmann as my GP had contacted him to say my condition had deteriorated. Once again Dr Heydtmann was very helpful and during our call he decided the best way forward would be a CT Scan. I was surprised when I had the scan done a couple of weeks later as the Covid 19 problem was affecting appointments but obviously Dr Heydtmann wanted the scan done.

A week later I received a letter from Dr Heydtmann telling me the scan was clear so it was reassuring. On seeing this I emailed Dr Heydtmann as the symptoms I was having were the same ones as before but just more intense so could he offer a solution. A week later I received a surprise phone call from Dr Heydtmann asking how I was and he was trying to find a solution to the problem. This time the best course of action seemed to be that I be referred to the Pancreas Specialists to see if they can offer any insight into whats causing my problem. I was extremely grateful that Dr Heydtmann had taken the time to phone me as I know he must be under a lot of stress due to the current situation but once again I was made to feel like a person and not just another patient.

Dr Heydtmann always tries to find a solution to the problem and I know mines is not straight forward but I do thank him for this. My family are also very grateful that I have such a wonderful dedicated doctor who actually puts the patient first and is trying to help me. Dr Heydtmann really is a credit to his profession as he is dedicated and always treats his patients as people and not just another patient. I feel very lucky to have him as my doctor.

Every time I have seen Dr Heydtmann or had contact with him he always goes out of his way to try and help. He really is a genuinely warm, caring doctor who cares about his patients.
