Just a note to say how much our family appreciated the expertise, honesty, love and care shown to my sister and our entire family as she suffered from multiple organ failure.
Now, more than ever, we feel for the families of loved ones who can't be with them as their relative is looked after. We want to reassure them of just how incredible the ITU team from cleaners to nurses to consultants is. Each and every one so skilled, dedicated and loving. Their loved ones are in the best hands with medics who just never give up! I'd lost all hope and yet they did not.
My sister is now home and still providing us with challenges but she's safe and we're together and we are just so impressed by you all. We can't list every nurse or consultant...especially those in our first week as we kinda blanked names but your honesty and brilliance is not forgotten... but stand out moments were Tom reassuring us that my sister knew nothing and was having 'lovely dreams', Mimi's timely hugs, Steph's valentine's present for her husband, and Dr McQuillan's sense of humour and demonstrating it's not just 'Bristol fashion'. Thank you all, we admire you and appreciate you beyond measure.
