"Contact during Corona"

About: One Recovery Bucks / High Wycombe

(as a service user),

I have had no contact with one recovery bucks for the past three weeks, while in lockdown. I know services were stopped but I did at least expect a phone call. My urges are at their worst right now, I'm alone, vulnerable and trying not to phone my dealer every hour of every day. I'm scared I'm going to cave in and relapse.

Can I please start by apologising that you haven't been contacted in the last three weeks. Yes we have had to make changes to our service model to manage the risk around the current COVID situation but this isn't good enough on our part.

Can you please email ORB@mpft.nhs.uk and address your email to me as soon as possible and I will look into why you have not been contacted, our priority has been to keep in contact with everyone. We do have most key-worker working at home and have a duty on call system on site for urgent calls.

Please reflect on the relapse prevention skills you will have discussed with your keyworker previously around ways to manage your cravings and urges, it sounds like you have done fantastic not to give into these already and call your dealer, but I appropriate how hard this must be for you and we need to support you.

Please be assured we are working at getting online groups up to match our normal delivery model and we have started the peer support, and art and will be running an online coffee morning tomorrow.
