"Great practice "

My mum had been suffering with fever, acid reflux, chest tightening for over a week which was aggravated due to anxiety. I contacted NHS 111 who sent an ambulance. The two paramedics becky and mark who attended took the time to assess my mum. All obs were normal apart from a slight temp. They identified she didn't need to attend hospital, however required some treatment. My mum felt anxiety about attending the hospital dut to the corona virus. They stayed with her and reassured her helping calm her anxiety. They took the time to listen to her concerns about attending the hospital and cleared any misconceptions that were untrue. They have then gone the extra mile and rang 111 requesting a callback from a doctor. Paramedic mark then directly liased with the doctor who prescribed some antibiotics and acid reflux medication for my mum over the phone. Their professional attitude and willingness to go the extra mile allowed my mum to recieve the treatment she required and prevent an unnecessary trip to the hospital. They also eliminated any concerns she has about attending the hospital should she require treatment in the future. Excellent service providers and a credit to the NHS.
