I was surprised to find out that the surgery no longer does blood tests to check for Hepatitis B status, I needed this in order for compliance for a medical job coming from a workplace where there is no Occupational Health department. I will now have to pay several hundred pounds to get these done privately.

I'm sorry this patient is un happy but, employment related Hepatitis B status and immunisation has always been the responsibility of the employer, unless a patient's doctor or nurse feels there is indication of a clinical need to investigate this. I invite this patient to come in and discuss this further. Brian Douglass. Practice Manager.
