"Very Friendly and helpful receptionist "

About: Argyle Health-Isleworth Practice

I was very fortunate to speak to a lovely helpful receptionist on the phone when I called for an emergency appointment.i was told I was no longer registered with the surgery which was a shock as I have always been with this surgery since my last one closed and I was automatically moved here. The surgery is 1 min walk from my home. I have been removed since December and I called the surgery after nine months for an appointment.i have not been notified by any means of communication for so long.the surgery has my phone number, home address and email addresss as I had registered for their lovely online appointment system.

I have been left with no appointment for no fault of mine because the re registration process will take time and I will have to rely on the emergency care in the nearby hospital which is already over burdened.

The lovely lady on the phone helped me check if my three under 16 children are removed but thankfully they are not.

They have removed the parent but kept the children.

Now I am not so sure if I should continue my children with this surgery.

Dear Patient,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with your registration at our practice. As you mention yourself, the reception team had tried their best to assist and resolve the matter. Without knowing more detail about your case we can’t investigate this further. Please could you email us directly so that we can follow this up. Our email address is : Isleworth.practice@nhs.net

In general the reasons why a patient may be deducted from a GP practice is that they have been sent letters that have asked them to reply. This would be from the Isleworth Practice or elsewhere in the NHS. If no reply had been received within a certain amount of time then the assumption is that they have moved away and not told us. This is particularly the case if they have had no contact with the practice for some time.

We increasingly see patients registering with online GP service providers that are based elsewhere in the country. This also triggers them to be automatically registered with them and be removed from their normal GP practice. That is not clearly explained to them when they register for these type of remote GP services.

We hope that your registration problem is resolved by now either at our practice or if you have chosen to go elsewhere at your new practice.

As always we are here to help you and your family.

Take care from the team at the Argyle Health Isleworth Practice.
