"Not appropriate patient care"

About: Staines Thameside Medical

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2007 . Since then I was receiving care in Guildford where I lived . Once I moved to Staines In 2010 UC was under control with diet without regular medication . But since changed GP to Thameside medical in 2015 I have not had my regular blood test done to check my anemia . Also never had any referral to get a colonoscopy to keep up with the monitoring of UC . Since the previous doctor retired my GP name was never changed on record nor I was informed of any changes , never had any communication from surgery to advice me on my condition . Finally in May 2018 I while waiting for a referral for a colorectal specialist I had to go to A&E with colon blockage and found to have stage 4 colorectal cancer . In my opinion a pro active colonoscopy every 6 months would have resulted in early diagnostics and would have saved a lot of cost to the NHS . Even after surgery I was refused certain prescribed items I needed related to my condition so I decided to register with Knowle Green medical in Staines . On my first GP appointment I was allowed to have all the prescribed items straightaway without quibble. It seems that the money saving incentive to achieve personal financial gain outweighs the money that would be spent on short term basic patient monitoring care which may cost more to the NHS further down if ignored at the beginning . I hope I have made my point and my opinion is aimed at eradicating this issue .
