"First appointment for breast lump."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Medical oncology

(as a relative),

I wasn't there.

I was very anxious about our beloved daughter possibly having breast cancer.

She lives hundreds of miles away and we couldn't travel to offer support with caring for our grandchildren. (April 2020)

I was amazed that she was offered an appointment within 3 weekdays.  We feared a much longer wait from referral to being seen.

From the bottom of my heart thank you thank you thank you for this incredible efficiency at this time of risk and stress.

For us the outcome was good news.  I hope I would still make time to express my thanks had it been otherwise, as your competence would be even more pertinent in those circumstances.

Thanks for letting us know about your daughter's recent experience in our hospital. We have passed your comments onto the teams involved, who we know will appreciate your kind words. Thank you again, and all the best to you and your daughter.
