"Staff should be ashamed of themselves"

About: Newham Centre for Mental Health

This hospital needs urgent review! Patients' rights are being ignored and their needs severely neglected. The majority of staff are unprofessional, ill-trained in mental health, aggressive and pose a serious threat to the well-being of vulnerable patients (including both verbal and physical abuse). The doctors/consultants above them are just as bad. They do not keep patients informed, do not respect their rights and simply ignore very serious issues raised with them. The "ward rounds" are absolute nonsense and just a tick box exercise. I am appalled at how someone, especially a so-called "professional", could mistreat another person in this way. Sadly, the Trust will not step up until a patient is seriously hurt, and then, at the very least, I hope every staff member (whether the lead consultant or a HCA) is found to be culpable.
