About: The Swan Practice

I’m absolutely shocked to see that this surgery has decided to not let patients know the results of urgent tests! My granddaughter had to check my patient access to overlook results. No message from the DR or anything. Thankfully she works at a surgery in the next town but unfortunately due to addresses I can’t move.

The staff here are rude, the receptionists believe they are DR’s when in fact couldn’t tell the difference between a cold or a heart attack. Quite frankly the whole area needs improving.

Also descendant staff need to have some witts about them. I’ve never seen so much dilly dallying around and ladies just having a general chit chat when there is a big queue waiting.

Dear Anonymous, Your comment is a little confusing to us as we do always pass through results to patients if they have been seen by a GP and the GP has left the comment to be relayed. If a comment has not been left by the GP then the reception are under strict instructions not to pass the result for obvious reasons and as you say because they are not clinically trained to do so and have to work within guidelines. Equally those with healthcare needs and who work for surgeries can register at a different surgery, most neighbouring surgeries permit this as do we. The reception team work very hard to try to respond to the needs of patients and I am sorry you don't share that view. If you would like to discuss this matter further please do so using the contact us email address.
