"great operation lacking in after care"

I was treated well by the man who carried out the operations to remove cataracts from both my eyes, the operations were successful, after the first operation I had an appointment to check the progress and everything was fine, at the time of the second operation the person who carried out the operation told the nurse to book me in for an appointment in 2 weeks time, he said there are no opticians open to check so I needed an appointment at Optegra, I did not receive any letter to with an appointment so yesterday I sent them an email, Optegra phoned me and told me there are no appointments due to the coronavirus, the same was true at the time of my operation but my operation went ahead as the surgeon said they did not want to put strain on the eye that had already been operated on and checked. I was very pleased with the operations the aftercare this time is not very good, I understand there is a virus, but shops are still open to sell food, chemists are open, so I am disappointed that there was no check up, I was asked if I have any problems but I am not a professional and I may not notice things that a professional would notice. The man and woman who checked my eyes before and after the first operation were friendly and efficient. Its a pity that the information was not the same from everyone and no one wrote to inform me they will not check my eyes until June or July, they informed me initially that the first 6 weeks are the most important
