My mother had a bad fall and broke her hip. She was admitted to Wishaw General and operated on the next day. She was initially in ward 15 and then moved to ward 12 (care of the elderly).
Mums care in ward 12 is absolutely first class. When we first went to visit we were approached by nurse Joanna who filled us in right away with the care mum would be receiving while in the ward which put our minds at ease.
Nurse Scanlon and her staff are absolutely amazing and when you go in the nurses will look for you and tell you how mum has been and what medication she is on if they have had to change anything and you never have to go and look for anyone they always come to you.
Obviously things have changed now with the Coronavirus and no visiting is allowed which is breaking my heart but the one thing I do know is that she will be looked after to the highest standard in ward 12 with the nursing staff.
