"An amazing team"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Brought my 2 year old son into the minor injuries unit following a disaster with a baby gate.  Was called into triage by a HCSW called Nicola who was absolutely amazing,  paracetamol was given by nurse Lauren and it wasn’t an issue in the slightest!

We were then called through to the minor injuries unit where my son was seen by Nurse Suzanne.  What a lovely person, so calm and relaxed with my son. Spent so much time with him and he was more relaxed than me!
At this time I appreciate the stress and difficulties all staff involved are facing.  Well, the ones I met that day didn’t even show it. What an amazing team x

Dear snowwhite92

Thank you for taking the time for sharing your recent experience. I hope that your son is recovering well.

Your comments will be shared with the individual staff that you have kindly identified as well as the wider team. They will be delighted to receive such positive feedback.

As you say this is a particularly stressful time for all of us and therefore your comments are so important. I am delighted that your son felt relaxed and can imagine as mum this was still a very stressful experience.

Thank you again for your comments, it is much appreciated.

I hope that your son makes a speedy recovery.

Best Wishes

Lise
