"Outstanding care"

About: Airedale General Hospital

I visited A&E today concerned about a lump on my leg which had become sore. My GP hadn't looked at it as was only doing telephone appointments but had prescribed antibiotics. The department was operating on half the normal number of nurses and during my 3 hour wait the patient numbers were at times up to 30. I was seen around 8:20pm by a lady doctor who couldn't have been nicer to me, although busy she was friendly and professional, put me at ease and was thorough in inspecting and treating my condition. I was sent away with a couple of dressings and aftercare instructions and my worries about it bursting and causing infection lifted. I only wish I could find a GP like this lady, she is a credit to her profession and the hospital.
