My mum has been in Glenmore Ward in Coathill Hospital since November 2019. The care and medical attention that she has received have been second to none. They have been sensitive to her needs and have shown complete compassion and dedication to her. Every member of staff has taken the time to get to know her and have helped her to work towards helping her to gain her own independence.
In the recent challenging times when due to the current restrictions in visiting where we haven’t been able to reassure and comfort my mum they have totally risen to the occasion and made sure that she is completely at ease and have been like a second family to her. So much so that they have went above the call of duty by taking her over to an open window (as due to the current visiting restrictions we couldn’t be there for her )so that she could here my voice as she is registered blind and wouldn’t be able to even see me outside( thank you Lesley) who made that happen.
All the staff have also played a part in helping her to be at ease with her imminent move to a local nursing home. This input from them has been especially important in the current climate of the restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus as we as a family have not been able to prepare her personally for this move.
We will never be able to say thank you to all the staff on the ward for the excellent care and attention that my mother received while she was there. It was just like having a big extended family who all went of there way to look out for her. We could never do enough to thank you
"Complete compassion and dedication"
