About: Potters Bar Community Hospital

I recently spent a week in Oakmere North of the Rehabilitation Clinic. From the first time I was taken into my room which I had to share with a much older lady I hated it! It was not a pleasant room to sit in, it felt like a prison cell but thankfully I got on famously with my “room mate” and we made our time together full of laughter. Meal times were chaotic, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and whenever anyone had a shower in the bathroom the floor was flooded right out to the main doorway! The TV in our room didn’t work. There were a few issues of lack of safety from the staff with my lovely room companion, one being that she was given medication but thankfully she didn’t recognise the tablets to be what she normally took and called a nurse who then quickly threw them in our waste bin. This could have resulted in something extremely serious!

I would NEVER want to return here ever again nor would I wish anyone that I know to do so either.

Things here need to improve greatly!
