I appreciate that these are unprecedented times, with a terrible amount of pressure on the NHS. However today we spent 45 minutes calling the practice, to finally get through to a receptionist who basically shouted “we have no appointments” at us four times before asking what was wrong. My wife told the person that she had a C-section (3rd child, 3rd caesarean) three weeks ago and is concerned that her wound has become infected. The receptionist spluttered and said a doctor would call us back. We have heard absolutely nothing from the practice all day. My wife had sepsis after our first baby and this is a cause of significant anxiety to her. Thank god for the LIVI app which gave us an appointment at 9pm tonight and allowed us to get the antibiotics she needs. A 10 minute online call that saved a trip to A&E and more pressure on the NHS. Virtually impossible to get an appointment at times at this practice. Doctors generally excellent when you finally see them.
