"Diagnoses & Treatment"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67)

(as a carer),

Dear Sir/Madam

My husband has had left sided pain from December 2018 , multiple courses of antibiotics for different diagnoses re GP & NHS out of hours . I , as a partner in care was a little concerned on the amount of antibiotics courses he was taking .

He was admitted to GRI ward 64 last October & was diagnosed & treated which led to surgery , before discharge from ward 64 he was told a referral to one of the clinics would be done for him to attend , he did not receive a discharge letter on leaving the ward .

In December he was re- admitted again with same pain to ward 67 . diagnostics done & later discharged . on Tuesday he was re-admitted again to ward 67 (surgical) with same pain again after GP sent him straight to A & E after further courses of antibiotics again since December to no avail .  he was told referral that ward 64 had apparently done in October is not on the system  ?

In all the times he has been re- admitted staff have been fantastic & dedicated in caring . my husband is now discharged & home again with medication & referral in place to be seen at clinic to get to the bottom of his health issues once & for all -  which we are so thankful to our NHS for .
