"Parking took 35 mins"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres

(as a relative),

My husband had an appointment with the Oncologist and it took 35 minutes to get a parking space. This is a stressful enough time without having to worry about parking. Cars were double parked everywhere which also made looking for a space both dangerous and stressful. As time goes on you get more and more agitated in case you miss your appointment.   Thankfully the medical professionals are always extremely pleasant.

Dear Cindy Lou,

Thank you for taking the time to recognise the professionalism of the staff. I can only apologise for the difficulty you experienced when trying to park, something I've experienced personally when attending appointments so I understand exactly how you must have felt.

Please be assured that this is an issue that my colleagues in the Planning Department have under review and will be looking to test or introduce alternative parking arrangements this year to try and address this issue.

Kind regards

Rick
