"An awful experience"

I had a 3. 20 appointment for the 20 weeks anomaly scan, I live in gravesend and it will normally take me 20 min to travel to the hospital. I have a 16 month old baby and I left my house 1 h before my appointment. But there was a lot of traffic and roads works that I was not aware of. I arrived at the hospital over 40 min later but I had to wait over 20 minutes for a parking space. After getting my baby in her buggy I got at the reception of the ultrasound department at about 3. 40, I knew I was late therefore I asked the receptionist if I can reschedule? They told me that they were going to find out if I could be seen. Few minutes later they came back but did not say anything. I decided to wait, few minutes later I was called in.

Once inside the room the person who was doing the scan told me that I only have 5 minutes left, and they were going to scan me only for the five minutes. I was appalled, so I asked if I can reschedule, they said that I can’t, I missed my appointment there will not be other availability. I wanted to cry, I try to tell them about the traffic and the wait at the hospital parking. They said that it was not their problem.

Then they processed to do the scan, show me the heart and that’s it, I know for a fact that they did not check the baby’s kidneys, or his stomach, or the face, they only take the measurements of the head then look quickly on the spine and the leg, but did not measured them, then they said I was done. And added, in a very abrupt way, when you are late you should apologise, I told them it’s true, I am sorry I have no issue apologising it’s not a big deal, but I was not late because I was sleeping. Then they told me: plus you were rude to the receptionist? I was shocked, I asked when was I rude to the receptionist and why would I be rude to them. They  insisted that I was rude, I am a very strong person but for the second time in few minutes that day I almost cry. Then I went to the receptionist and asked them when was I rude to you? ? Then the receptionist replied that I was rude to them on a separate incident, in a different department, 3 weeks ago!  I think this is why the person doing the scan was rude towards me; and the most painful part is they played with my unborn baby health. I have not be able to sleep, it’s now 4 am and I still can sleep, I am so upset. Specially when everyone there turn against me without even knowing me simply because someone made false allegations ! Seriously 😒
