Full of praise for Eastbourne DGH Endoscopy unit. All the staff, from Receptionists to Clinicians were understanding and caring. The waiting area is bright, roomy and very clean with a calm atmosphere. A high standard of efficiency and cleanliness was apparent in the clinic area too. We would have no hesitation recommending this unit to anyone who needs endoscopy services. Walking through the ground floor area of EDGH, it was busy but remained clean and tidy. Car parking is always a worry but we found a space after a few minutes so were very early for the appointment. All in all, a very positive experience at an anxious time.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback about your recent visit to the Endoscopy Unit at Eastbourne Hospital; we really appreciate it.

The Trust is very proud of the high standards of care it provides to patients, which has recently been reaffirmed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who have awarded us a rating of “Outstanding” for care and “Outstanding” for effectiveness of services; it is therefore very assuring to read from your comments that not only did you have an excellent standard of care, but that you found the environment to be bright, clean and welcoming and staff acted in a manner that demonstrated professional and treatment values of kindness and compassion. As you have helpfully mentioned, undergoing an endoscopy procedure can be a source of upset, worry and anxiety, and it is very pleasing to read that staff at all levels gave you confidence in the care being provided. We very much hope there were no unpleasant side-effects following the procedure, and that the results will help with any further investigations or care you may require.

We will ensure your generous words of praise are shared with the team via the Matron for Endoscopy as she and her team will want to read how much you appreciated the care. We wish you all the very best for good health and well-being in the future.
