"Carers not doing as they should"

About: Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council / Tameside Social Services

(as a relative),

Mother inlaw has dementia carers were in and out some did as they should some did not, we left notes and was ignored and told we do what the service user wants it was a living nightmare.

we had to support then due to having no support after we had let them go. We had reablement it worked well, we tried another care agency and we was let down so we had reablement again and it was a poor service, they say it was not, i left notes and was ignored had various meetings no improvement so we let them go.

The support was through tameside adult services, carers was not supportive of my mother inlaw diabetes and she was eating far to much sweet stuff which was noted down at the drs and shown in her blood,we did a plan of meals and treats and they still found it hard to follow,we explained once mother inlaw had her meals she does not snack on wrong stuff as i check everything and been in the family 31years but no one believed us, we have a lovely PA and its working well.
