"Excellent experience at the minor injuries unit"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

I fell and hurt my foot on the 27th feb and rather than go home and go to A&E at Whipps Cross hospital which is my local hospital decided as it was close to my work and had a minor injuries unit to try going there instead.

The overall experience and care was excellent.

I got seen very quickly and the nurse I saw seemed kind, caring and competent. I got sent for a xray and had the same experience in the xray unit. In particular there was a trainee there in xray under supervision who was again very kind and competent. Luckily I'd not broken my foot but was still in a lot of pain and left with good advice and totally satisfied.

Everyone there and the hospital itsself were all excellent and I'm glad I went there rather than anywhere else.

Dear John

Thank you for this wonderful account of your visit to our Minor Injuries department . We will ensure that we pass on your feedback to the nurse and to the wider team in the X-ray department . As you say, the personal touch and connection is key, and sometimes simple things which may not be immediately obvious when you are close to the situation, can make a huge difference. Thank you for taking the time to post your comment here.

Kind regards
