"Something has changed"

About: Wessex Road Surgery

Been a patient here for many years and always found it excellent until recently but in the last few months front of house has gone very much downhill. No one seems to answer the telephone, we try 4 or 5 times usually before we make contact. On one occasion when my wife was obviously very unwell I dialled constantly for 20 minutes before I gave up and dialled 999. We have sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes hearing the phone constantly ringing but never answered. We have stood in a queue at reception while staff the other side sip tea and chat. Hard to believe that Doctors are not aware.

I have to give my email address to submit this but nowhere on the website can I see theirs.

Thank you for taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. We welcome all patient feedback as this provides us with a valuable insight into our services from the patient’s perspective and so we can inform service improvement. We can assure you that this is not the level of service we would wish for our patients. An investigation of your concerns will be undertaken so we would very much encourage you to contact the Practice Manager Gillian Atkins to discuss further. Many Thanks
