"Birth of my baby through C Section"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

I had a wonderful experience at the Aberdeen Maternity Hospital when having my baby. I had been suffering with anxiety and panic attacks in my third trimester and was really apprehensive for my c-section. All of the staff were amazing - especially the in theatre midwife Caroline who kept me calm throughout - I had been practicing relaxation techniques and Hypnobirthing so Caroline made sure to coach me on my breathing and ensured I had the most relaxing experience possible. A focus on relaxation techniques really does make the world of difference whether it be a natural birth or c-section. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience to welcome my baby into the world!

Dear Baby2020.

Firstly let me congratulate you on the birth of your baby and thank you for taking the time to get in touch.

Pregnancy can be an anxious time for many and our staff work hard to learn new techniques that can coach and support women in your situation.

I will be sharing your feedback with Caroline and the theatre team who I know will be delighted to receive this.

Thanks again

Kind Regards

Liz
